We are proud to announce the excellent achievements of its GCSE Class of 2025, reflecting the academy’s continued commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
This year’s results feature remarkable subject performances and inspiring individual accomplishments, highlighting the dedication of both pupils and staff.
Pupils have excelled across a broad range of subjects, with a significant proportion securing top grades. Among the many success stories:
- Jada secured 10 GCSEs, all at higher grades, and will be joining Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar to study Classical Civilisation, Business Studies, and English Literature, with her sights set on a Project Management degree apprenticeship at a leading organisation such as KPMG.
- Shaely attained 12 top GCSE grades and will continue her studies in Business, Biology, and Maths at St Thomas the Apostle College, describing her education at the academy as “inspiring.”
- Shaqwan, who earned 10 higher grade GCSEs, will study Maths, Economics, English Literature, and History at St Dunstan’s College, aiming for university and a future career in Law.
- Matthew, celebrating the achievement of 12 top GCSEs, will pursue Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at CTK Aquinas, aspiring to become an Engineer. Matthew noted: “The staff at SMA have provided me with the encouragement, support, and resources needed to achieve my potential and, thanks to them, I am celebrating not only my results but also getting into the sixth form I wanted.”
Pupils, families, and staff are overjoyed with the results, with many of our young people securing placements at prestigious post-16 providers including St Thomas the Apostle Sixth Form, Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar, Christ the King Sixth Form, Dartford Grammar Sixth Form, and St Dunstan’s College.
These excellent examination results follow an exceptional Ofsted report recognising St Matthew Academy as Outstanding in all areas. The report praised teachers’ strong subject knowledge, the exceptional education provided, and the depth of knowledge acquired by pupils, all of which contribute to pupils’ high achievement.

Our aim is to deliver an outstanding education enriched by life-changing opportunities, preparing our pupils to become confident, ambitious young adults ready for the next stage of their journey.
